Thermomix has announced that in the coming months of 2021, a new accessory will arrive, a special blade cover, which together with an update of its software will be able to peel potatoes and vegetables as well as ginger. Thermomix previously had a knife guard that protected food, but this new model has been redesigned so that it is also capable of peeling potatoes and vegetables. The new thermomix functionality. Peeling potatoes and vegetables for tm5 and tm6 the new knife guard will have a series of small bumps that, thanks to the water and friction, are the ones that peel the food little by little.
Hi all, my machine updaded to 3. 0 but besides the peeler function (and the blade is not even available in the uk) i don't know what else i get, nor i can see it online. Any clues?.
As per title! i have heard mixed reviews, such as it's uneven peeling and only works for small potatoes and it's a big waste of water (however i was thinking that if the water was warm, and i don't know, it would aid the process of removing excess starch as i always let my peeled potatoes sit in salty warm water for 30 mins before roasting). What other uses can be had from the peeler?.
Kels noades - thermomix 'diamond plus' advisor and team leader advisor number 119913 i love helping people with their thermomix and getting them inspired with recipes. How i got my first thermomix. Years ago my mum bought a thermomix after seeing one in spain and gave us all the thermomix obsession too. The tm31 (an older model) has been a big part of my cooking since 2005. In august 2017 i upgraded to the tm5 and shortly after, i joined as an advisor. I cook in my tm6 (newest model - shown in this photo) multiple times a day. I love showing people how it can change their lives - whatever the motivation for seeing it in action - freeing up time in the kitchen, wanting to eat more healthily, needing inspiration or skills to cook - it's something for everyone.
